Earn Volunteer Hours by joining TAG!

Every month during the school year, the Teen Advisory Group meets to discuss ways that libraries can enrich the lives of teenagers. Learn library skills, plan teen events, discuss books and movies with like-minded teens:

  1. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month @ 3pm.
    VIEW MEETING CALENDAR
  2. Earn 1 hour for every meeting you attend.
  3. Earn more hours by planning and organizing events and contests at the library.

Earn Volunteer Hours by Becoming a Reading Buddy this Summer!

Earn Volunteer Hours as a Big Buddy for a young reader. You will help your Little Buddy (grades 2 to 5) practice reading out-loud, learn new words & concepts, and enjoy telling stories at their individual reading levels. You will cap off each session with a fun activity or craft. This a great opportunity to gain experience working with kids, as well as earning your community service hours. Volunteers need to be available for one of the training sessions, as well as all 4 sessions of Reading Buddies. You can gain extra hours by volunteering for both sessions (Mondays and Tuesdays).

Check back here often. We are always coming up with new events and programs especially for teens living in Scugog Township.
